OBITUARY. Battle Creek Enquirer & News, July 2, 1997, p. 4A. Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Kewley, 32, of Kalamazoo and formerly of Battle Creek died Tuesday, July 1, 1997, of injuries suffered in a truck accident. He was born Nov. 29, 1964 in Battle Creek to Thomas W. and Carolyn J. (Viall) Kewley. He grew up in Portage, attended Portage Central High School and graduated from Portage Northern High School. He was employed as a wrecker operator for Portage/Speedway Towing and previously worked for 14 years as a warehouse supervisor for Portage Specialties. He married Stephanie L. Robinson on Dec. 29, 1985 in Kalamazoo. She survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Kristen E. Kewley of Kalamazoo; his father, Thomas W. Kewley of Chase; his mother, Carolyn J. Kewley of Battle Creek; a brother, Brian T. Kewley of Battle Creek; and his paternal grandmother, Ruth D. Kewley of Battle Creek.
