The 1860 Census shows: Riley Carpenter age 37 VT, wife LAvina age 34 PA, with
children James age 11, Emma age 9, Eva age 7, Lydia age 5, Martin age 2,
and Lilly age 11 months.
He owned tract 1390, 1389 in 1865 in Richmond Twp, Pa. [104] He owned in 1876
in property in Richmond Twp PA. [104] Idenity of children from the Roha
reference.

A second Sophia in this family who married a Kelly. The first Sophia was born
in 1815 and died in 1818. This one at age 16, and shortly after her father
died, married at age 16.
