He moved with his father to Corinth, VT, April 6, 1803, was
about four miles from East Corinth. He had the farm and took
care of his father, and died in Corinth. In his early life he
followed the business of a clothier and cloth dresser, learning
his trade of Dr. Hinkley in Lebanon, NH He came into
possession of his father's farm by paying a heavy indebtedness
and providing a home for his parents. He increased his holdings
in real estate from time to time, so that at his death the farm
was much larger than it was originally. He resided in Corinth,
