Painter, illustrator
Born in Chicago, IL on July 14, 1876. Carpenter studied with F. Tadama, Edgar Forkner, and Karl Goodwin. After 1925 he had a studio in Los Angeles where he was a freelance illustrator. He died in Vashon, WA on March 18, 1957.
