Hello,
My grandfather, Rev. Edwin Lowell ELDREDGE was b. 17 Dec 1888 in Angelica d.01
Jan 1978. He married Cassie MAYO approx. 1907/8 as I remember going to their
50th wedding anniversary in about 1957/8.
He was the son of John Daniel ELDREDGE/ELDRIDGE and Cora Henrietta CARPENTER.
With the help of Dawn Carpenter(a list member) I have received much information
on the Carpenter side of the family. Unfortunately the Eldredge side has been
much more elusive.
My grandfather's brothers and sisters all b. in Angelica are as follows:
Herbert Henry b.1884 d. 1912
Maud B. b 1882
Mabel Catharine b.1886 d.1968 married Florris? Jennings
Charles Richard b.1894 d.1956
Clara Henrietta b. 1896 d.1981 married Robert Harding
Cora E. b.1901 d. 1988
I am also interested if anyone can tell me how I would find out what
churches(Methodist) my grandfather preached at. I believe they were all in
the Southern Tier of NYS and possibly Eldred, PA.
If any of these names are familiar to anyone I would appreciate hearing from
you.
Thank you.
Cathy Wassink
Note: Camelia Turner at www.my-ged.com has Sarah carpenter's name as
Alice Lowell Carpenter.
A Teacher for over 40 years.
