Source: Mary C. Carpenter.

Clarence Frank Carpenter (my dad!!) Nickname: "Carpy"
Lived at 205 N. 2nd St., Abbotsford, WI all his married life.

NOTES ON "CARPY": My dad was a WWII veteran and saw action in Germany. I do not have the details right now. He met my mom while both worked at "Danielson's Drycleaning" in Abbotsford, WI. Mom (Doris Genrich) was living in Dorchester, WI with her parents Henry and Maria (FEDDICK) GENRICH. After Carpy & Doris married they moved in with Carpy's mother Catherine (Pommerich) Carpenter in Abbotsford, WI, and later bought the house from her. Carpy became a bartender at "Duke's Bowl", the local bowling alley on Hwy. 29, in Abbotsford. It is still there today. He bartended, drilled bowling balls for customers, and fixed the machines. By the mid 1960's he decided to quit the bar business and do what he loved - Carpy Carpenter became a CARPENTER! He was well known for his skills in town and well liked by most everyone. Doris worked as an assistant manager for the local "Ben Franklin" variety store.
