McDERMOTT, Robert James
Born on September 12, 1925 to Lyle and Marguerite McDermott, Robert James McDermott passed away on January 29, 2012 at the age of 86 after a brief illness. He is survived by Doris (Carpenter), his wife of 61 years. He is also survived by two remaining brothers; his older brother Lyle Charles Jr. (Irene), and his younger brother Kenneth Eugene (Geraldine). A very proud father of four children. Charles and wife Michelle of Coeur d'Alene ID, James and wife Michelle of Sacramento CA, Paul and wife Susan of Phoenix AZ, and Cecelia McKnight and husband Ronald of Modesto CA. He was preceded by one grandson, Jon Michael Sanderson of San Diego, CA. He leaves behind his grandchildren, Shawn McDermott, Johnathon Mendonca, Nikki Gertsch, Joanna Gertsch, Mary-Lela Jones, Anthony Barajas Jr., Marisa Barajas, Emerald McDermott, Kelly Berry, Micah McDermott and Emma McKnight. He will also be greatly missed by 13 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Robert served in the U.S. Army-Air Corp. with the 97th bomber Group 342nd pantaloon from 1943 - 1946 in Italy during WWII as a left waist gunner in the B-17 flying fortress. He flew several missions against Hitler's Nazi Regime. Following military service he returned home to Boise, Idaho to work for Albertsons. He relocated to Sacramento, CA in 1952 to work for United Airlines in reservations and later transferred to Aero-Jet General Corporation as a Rocket Test Inspector. Before retiring in 1994, he had the honor of working on rocket engines and booster rockets that were used on the Apollo and Space Shuttle Missions.

A Honor Guard Memorial Service will be held at Veterans of Foreign Wars Hall, Post 1267 on Friday, February 24, 2012 at 3: pm which is located at 7576 Stockton Blvd, Sacramento, CA. The family is going to Boise, ID in the late spring for his interment.

38072. Terrance Alfred Sharpley

Terry developed and coordinated a summer arts program for Marion Boulton Stroud (Kippie) in NE Harbor, ME for several years.  He was her personal assistant.

He also was the Director of Operations for High Oaks, a retirement home for Christian Science, and worked in this capacity at other retirement homes also.  He worked in home building and construction for several years.

Terry is very talented artistically.

Bell is the Grandmother of Donald Coon - 2029 Douglas , Pocatello , Idaho

Belle Worked in the Kaiser Shipyard in Vancouver,Washington in World War 11 She helped build the S.S.Oconto The First Flat top carrier to be Launced from Vancouver, Washington . This Shipyard built 47 flat top carriers in the secound world War 11. After finishing this job . Belle moved back to Boise and was the Supervisor of the Student Union Resturant in Boise , which was a CollegeResturant .   Belle and her Husband Harry Fisher were Married and Divorced on Seven Different Occasions .
