33426. Ivan Hershel Carpenter

"FAMILY RECORDS of the Carpenter Family," pub. 1947.  Family records in possession of Mrs. Opal Fern Carpenter, Conneaut, Ashtabula, OH. Ivan was living in Astabula, OH in 1968.    Divorced in 1955.  According to a letter dated 9 May 1982, Opal Carpenter wrote: "If anyone should refer to Ivan's obituary for information, it would not all be correct.  It lists 25 grandchildren and 3 sons.  He had 21 grandchildren and 4 step-grandchildren, 2 sons.  Norman Hopkins was a stepson.  This can be verified.  I had nothing to do with writing the obituary and didn't realize this until I was checking for dates.  I just wanted this included with the forms in case someone did get an obituary and try to use it for information."

33428. Virginia Fay Carpenter

Virginia Fay was "of Dorsett, OH" in 1968, of Las Vegas, NY in 1991.  She was 67 at death. She had  3 daughters,  2 sisters &1 grandchild, an aunt and several nieces and nephews listed in her obituary.  Jay W. Marsh her son is not mentioned, probably died before this time.  Virginia's husbands, Raymond and Emery.

33429. Walter Eugene Carpenter

.OBITUARY:  Eugene Carpenter, 85, of Paris died at 2:15 a.m. Saturday, Deptember 13, 1997 in Paris Community Hospital at Paris.  Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m.  Monday, September 15 at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Bro. J. Roy Gill officiating.  Burial will be in the Marshall Cem.. . .He was born November 9, 1911 at Dennison, IL., the son of Perry A. and Bessie (Williams) Carpenter.  He was married to Gladys Reel and she preceded him in death on May 16, 1981.  Survivors include two daughters, Arlene Carpenter of Paris and Ruth White of Marshall; five grandchildren, Brian Kaufman, Craig Kaufman, Robin Wingert, Joleen Coleman and Burton White and one niece and one nephew.  He was preceded in death by two brothers, Hurley Carpenter and Albert Carpenter Sr. and by a sister, Ethel Taylor.  Mr. Carpenter was a retired farmer.  He was a member of the Bellridge Christian Church of rural Paris and had formerly been a 4-H leader and a school bus driver.


Gladys Reel

Gladys Reel was 60 when she died.  At her death, she had surviving: her husband, Eugene, two daughters, Arlene Mae Kaufman, Ruth Irene White, and 3 brothers, Robert and Ted Reel of Paris and  Leo Reel of Warton, TX. 3 sisters, Mrs. Victoria Snyder, of Lawrence, IL; Mrs. Mae Spencer of Robinson, (IL) Mrs. Mary Wallce, of Huntington Beach, CA.  Her mother also survived.  Also several grandchildren.


33431. Albert Leroy Carpenter Sr.

Albert had no children with second wife Pansy.  He was a vet of WWII. Obituary stated he had 5 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild when he died.


38113. Bernarda Joyce Carpenter

Bernarda and Frank had no chidren.    She was living in Terre Haute, Vigo, IN in 1979.  She was 36 when she died.


33438. Cecil Elcinda Carpenter

Family records in possession of Cecil's brother, Lawrence ReRoy Carpenter, St. Bernice, IN. Cecil Elcinda was age 55 at death.  It said she was born in IN, this record shows IL.
