Carpenterdied at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J . W. Dallas, on Summit avenuelast night at 11 o'clock, aged 83 years, 6 months and 18 days. Privatefuneral services will be held at the Dallas home, Wednesday afternoon,conducted by the Rev. D. C. ___________. The lady fell about threeweeks ago and broke her hip. The fall at her advanced age, broughtabout complications, from which recovery was impossible and she sankslowly but peacefully to eternal rest. The maiden name of the deceasedwas Rhoda D. Carpenter and she was born in Richland County, March 3,1831, the daughter of Samuel and Eunice Carpenter. With her parentsshe lived on a farm near Bellville until her marriage to Nelson Peck,following which _______________________________ Sandusky county, whereMr. Peck died 18 years ago and three years later his widow came togalion to make her home with her daughter. She was a most estimablelady and her longlife was one of goodness and usefulness."
