He removed with his brother to Ohio.  He was a tanner and currier by trade.
Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, sons of Abraham Carpenter were in early 1800, settles
at Duanesburgh, NY, where they remained several years and from there removed to
Ohio.
In 1807 Anne Mott, then one of a committee of the Friends to look after the
welfare of an Idian settlement, writes from "Brothertown" (near De Ruyer and
Duanesburgh, NY) as follows: "We dined very pleasantly in a small log house,
the home of Isaac Carpenter (brother to Abraham."  22 Oct. 1807 per
Adam and Ann Mott, page 71.
